If you are not aware search engines talking about Google now are constantly querying servers for fresh content. These processes are called “fresh” crawls. Occasionally they do what is called a “hard” crawl which polls everything on the internet for specific keyword phrases. They then index what they find removing any duplicate content they find but keeping the original.

Fresh crawls are issued whenever new fresh content exists. They do not come immediately but over time depending on how often content is new or fresh. Over time if you are constantly creating new content they will come back more often to your site. This determines page ranking and your positioning within the search engines. An FYI you can always tell if a hard crawl is occuring by looking at the right hand corner when you do a search on a keyword phrase. This number will drastically go up and will slowly come back down over time.
With all of that said articles are treated in the same way. In fact if you should write an article and post it within an article directory site of at least a 6 or above because of the high page rank Google is constantly querying that article directory site. The article gets picked up immediately to assist you in your SEO.
It gets better than that!
Your article usually includes a link back to your web site. Google detects that it is there and does a fresh crawl of it. Okay if you create a very good article that others are looking for they could possibly click on your link and arrive at your web site. Even better than that others could see your article and if they like it post it on “their” web site which in turn could turn into hundreds or thousands seeing your article and your link.
Wow! It get even better. Writing content that other people can use for their SEO if anything causes them to look forward to seeing your articles. This in turn will help you to get a following. With the SEO part of it your name becomes associated with your keywords. I have never heard anyone talk about this but..your name is indexed along with your keywords and subject matter thereby becoming associated with them.
Here is something to think about. If you spend the time it takes to create quality articles rather than just throwing out something for SEO you can create a benefit to your readers as well as boosting your SEO.
Here is something to think about when writing content. What might be something basic in understanding to you might be something your readers do not know anything about. Write your articles in a way that is as easy for your readers to understand as you can. Try to make it interesting. Many people who are doing a search for a given keyword or keyword phrase implies that they are looking for something they do not know much about.
